Spot A Bot is a project by students from Salzburg University of Applied Sciences aimed at identifying bot accounts on Twitter. They use machine learning, specifically XGBoost, to analyze Twitter profiles and tweets, determining the likelihood of accounts being bots with a model accuracy of 68%. Through analyzing trends from various regions, the project visualizes the distribution of bots vs. humans in various trending topics, thus raising awareness about the presence and impact of bots in social media.
